Why is my dog vomiting undigested food?

March 6th, 2010 | by admin |

My 5 month old toy poodle has been vomiting undigested bones and food for the past few hours. other then that, he is perfectly fine, he poops well and everything. however, we think that it could be possible because we fed him apples.

it could be. Bone splinters or the apples could be upsetting his stomach. Also don’t feed them the core because it can be toxic. If you give him a bone, it should be raw. Cooked bones(especially chicken bones) splinter and can puncture their insides.
Don’t give him food for a couple of hours so his stomach can settle.

Small dogs can dehydrate very fast, if it was my dog we would be off to the 24/hr vet.
