Is my Dog having a seizure?

March 1st, 2010 | by admin |

This is the fourth episode he has had. This one was mild compared to others. We only caught the end of it on video. He vomits and looses his bowls every time. Does anyone know if this is a seizure?

    This is similar to …
This is similar to what my 6year old Border Collie mix does hes featured on my youtube channel, he falls in the ground and stiffens up, they usually last around 4 to 6minutes, we hold him like baby and talk to him during one to help sooth him.

I completely agree with you on this panda. If you care for your pets and they are suffering like this, let them rest in peace. It’s not fair for your pet to suffer because you don’t want them to die.

If a little dogs blood sugar gets too low then they can get seizures. Give him some sugar water or put some maple syrup on your finger and have him lick it off

    It looks like it …
It looks like it could be. It’s pretty certain to be *something* neurological and he should see a vet. Take this video with you. How old is your dog? When did this start, and how often do they happen? If it only happens every year or so, the vet may decide that the seizures will cause less harm that taking the medicine daily would, but it’s still best for your dog to consult a vet, show them this vid and see what he says.

    From what I say, …
From what I say, yes that is a definate canine seizure, my dog has the same episodes, it looked like a mile one, consult your vet, and they will probably prescribe him to Phenobarbatol which is relatively cheap, and if you notice his seizures lasting more then 5 minutes, get him medical attention before permanant damage is done with possible death, good luck.
