How to stop my dog from vomiting?

Posted by : admin

I fed my dog purina mighty dog canned food & now he won’t stop vomitting. I can’t afford to take him to the vet. What should I do?

Get him off the Purina poison and give him a decent brand of food.. Purina is pure junk.

I don’t know if this helps at all, but I heard that when dogs have stomach problems, it’s good to feed them plain yogurt. Once in a while I feed my dog plain fat free yogurt because it’s supposedly good for their stomachs.

Take away all food for 24 hours. Then feed him plain, boiled chicken and rice. If he keeps that down gradually – over the period of a week or so – reintroduce his regular food…and don’t feed him mighty dog.

In fact, don’t give him canned food at all except as a treat. It isn’t good for his teeth.

One more thing, is your dog a puppy? Has it had all its shots? Watch for diarrhea, specifically bloody diarrhea. He may have parvo.

I would really suggest taking him to the vet, It’s the best thing for the dog. He probably has an allergic reaction.
You really can’t stop it from vomiting it just happens, It’s just like you can’t stop a human from vomiting….. or maybe I’m wrong no idea.

If you can’t afford to take your dog to a vet, you shouldn’t have a dog.

And you are feeding him garbage food. Go to dogfoodanalysis.com and choose a food that is rated 4 stars or higher. Purina is one star, maybe 2.

i would deffinatly recommend you take him to a vet.
HOWEVER before you do this try to get it to eat some grass, this helps digestion. And switch foods, my vet recomended plain rice with bits of chicken, then a bit of scrambled egg (only a small bit of milk) for a week… if this helps keep the vomiting down, slowly wean it on to dog food, i recomend hypoallergenic. hope this helps

the first step should always be to starve the dog for 24 hours (while keeping plenty of water available ad lib). After the period of starvation, the dog should be offered small portions of a very bland food, such as chicken and boiled rice, for a few days. Meals should be fed as smaller portions several times a day, rather than one larger meal.

Stop giving the dog water for a while try giving it a little gatorade & mylanta. For sure stop feeding it the canned food the canned food has to much grease in it. Try changing its diet to hard food it may take a few days to change over. That’s what will help out I suggest if it’s still vomiting after trying this please bring it to the vet. Also give the dog a little honey or kero for its sugar, when they vomit a lot their sugar level goes down. I had to do this to my poodle.
