How long between delivering pups should you wait before you take your dog the vet?
March 12th, 2010 | by admin |My dog is in the middle of having pups and she has only had 1 at the moment and that was 17:55 (uk time) and where still waiting for her to have more because one was nearly out before. How much longer should we wait before taking her the vet? PLEASE HELP!!!
So instead of asking your vet you decide to ask strangers on the internet ask your vet for gods sake i am ashamed to live in the UK

I have a tough time with time conversions, but it’s been about an hour and a half since the last puppy?
If you saw a second pup at the birth canal but it still hasn’t been delivered, you should have called the vet over an hour ago.
Basically you need to call the vet if:
…She goes longer than 4 hours between puppies
…She goes longer than 20-30 minutes of pushing with no puppy
…She’s in pain or distress
…You have any questions about whether the whelping is happening normally

Get off you **** computer and get to the vet now, if a puppy was presenting 2 hours ago it will already be dead. Your bltch probably needs a c-section to save her life, so do her a favour and get her spayed at the same time.
