It is so sad when our loved ones have cancer..The treatments for canines have been quite successful, so there is hope. I will be in prayer for you and yours.
If you would like a good diet that maximizes the effectiveness of chemo, please feel free to email me..This is a good diet for all dogs who are battling cancer.

So sorry to hear about your dog. It’s so hard to make that decision. I have had to do it and it still makes me cry when I think about it but it is the right thing not to let them suffer. I hope the treatment helps your dog.

You have to feel you did all you could. It is nice you love your dog enough to try. Good Luck and God Bless.

I saw your other post…the thing is, you don’t mention what kind of cancer, what stage, or any symptoms or prognosis. If he is not suffering, why not give supportive care until things go downhill? If he still seems happy and not in pain, I can’t understand justifying euthanizing a pet because you gave up. If he hasn’t given up on life, I wouldn’t euthanize him.

I’m sorry you and your dog are facing the cancer beast. Here are a couple of links to canine cancer web sites that may be of help to you.

Good luck.Never give up. Your dog will let you know when it’s time to say good bye.

You have my sympathy. We are in the same position with our eldest boxer, Bo. She has a large tumor on her lip, and the cancer is also in her lymphatic system, so time is running out for her and treatments are not an option. So we monitor her, medicate her & give in to her every whim until the time comes…

All you can do is love your dog enough to let him go when the time comes.

What is the question??? I’m sorry about your dog but I can’t help if I don’t know the question.

why don’t you take him to the vet for cancer surgery

  13. Terry Z Says:

What does the vet recommend? Why expose your dog to pain he doesn’t have to go thru? If the cancer is far enough along, maybe putting him down is the only answer. But you say he is not suffering, so right now is quality of life is good. I’d keep a dog with cancer until I know his quality of life is not so good. There is no reason for the poor baby to withstand pain unnecessarily. Then, I’d recommend putting him down. But, by all means check with a reputable vet before taking such an extreme measure as putting a dog down.
