Are these normal symptoms for a dog in heat?
My 1 yr old English bulldog went into heat last week. She has been acting fairly normal other than the vaginal bleeding. But tonight she has been acting differently, ie not wanting to eat, drinking extreme amounts of water, diarrhea, and increased respiratory rate. I’m not really sure what to make of these symptoms. Is this normal for a dog that is in heat? Could she be anemic? Her gums are on the pal side.
The diarrhea and fast breathing are not part of heat cycle symptoms.
Not wanting to eat and drinking water are though. If she is drinking extreme amounts of water it is probably because of the diarrhea.
I would at least give the vet a call and ask if he wants to see her.

Sounds like you need to take her to the vet. Diarrhea isn’t part of being in heat and her gum should not be pale. Diarrhea can cause dehydration.

i would contact your vet in the morning n ask him/her if she needs to be seen.

Them are not normal symptoms for a dog being in heat. When a dog is in heat it should only be the bleeding and swollen vagina. I would take your dog to the vet as soon as you can, something else is wrong with her.
