Are dobermans good pets if you have moderate dog allergies?

Posted by : admin

I know their not hypoallergenic, but i was wondering because if they have short hair they might be better than a long haired dog. Also, what are some medium sized hypoallergenic dogs?
To people that say that dogs cant be hypoallergenic, then how is it possible that when i was taking care of a shih tzu i never sniffled or sneezed? They are one of the hypoallergenic dogs but i prefer big dogs

I would suggest getting a type of dog called Havanese because they don’t shed at all from what i hear :)

no…its not the hair people are allergic to…its the pet dander…like their dry skin…

Don’t even consider having a dog if you suffer allergic reactions. You may have one then have to get rid of it if it makes you ill, and that’s unfair to the animal concerned.

Well you should do okay. They don’t shed nearly as much as many dogs do:

Dog that don’t shed are Poodle’s and Poodle mix. Schnauzers, Yorkies. As A bigger dog I had a standard Poodle, they are listed as a hunting dog in the AKC book. But you do have to have them clipped.(thier hair)
