I have a male mini schnauzer, not neutered, that has recently started peeing in our home. He’s about to be 4 and has not had this problem until my female was about to have her puppies. We don’t know if it has to do with her and the new pups that he continues to pee in the house or something else.

Yes its because of the females scent. He is making sure that all dogs know this is his place. You need to clean the pee with borax and water. They smell where they pee even if you clean with bleach. Borax gets that odor gone. As soon as they smell it, the brain tells them pee!
Also since this just started its early enough to put a halt to it.
When you see him sniffing, or peeing run up on him and make some very loud noise and startle him. Do this every time and he will learn to stop. Neutering will help greatly.

My dog is around 10-11 years old. Lately this week he was having back problems. We took him to the vet, and he gave him a shot. My dog is still whimpering and whining of pain. Will he get better?
He also is hunched over from time to time….

(I suppose I had that coming…/\)

Anyway, it might be arthritis.

If your dog is suffering, maybe talk to the vets about getting painkillers for him that you can give at home.

EDIT:
Here is some more information about arthritis which might help you!
Arthritis is generally a medical term that denotes any kind of abnormalities or changes in the joints and the structural architecture of the body. It might be the result of an infection, congenital defects, stress or even trauma. Such a condition is usually known as ‘Canine Arthritis’ in dogs. It might occur in your pet’s neck, shoulders, hips, elbows and back and can be extremely painful. Thus, it becomes necessary that you remain aware of the subtle changes in your pet’s behavior for an early diagnose of the disease. Identifying early indicators of the disease can save a lot of pain and discomfort for your dog. It will also help you to avoid fatal repercussions associated with long-term joint degeneration. In the following lines, we provide you with the various symptoms, causes and treatments of Arthritis pain in dogs.

Symptoms
Consciousness while climbing stairs or hesitancy in jumping fences etc
Difficulty while sitting, standing or other forms of movement
Increased hours of sleeping
Increased lethargy and inactivity
Less inclination towards playful activities
Noticeable limping or pain
Stiffness in limbs, especially during the mornings
Sudden and unusual weight gain
Unwillingness to be patted, touched or picked

Good luck, I hope he does get better!

Our 2 yr old Shih-Tzu is having constipation problems. Her bowels come half-way out and she looks very uncomfortable. She rubs her butt on the floor. I read pure pumpkin is good for this kind of thing so I have given her that just today. What can I do in the meantime – just wait? Will she be OK?

She’s been eating fine. Her dog food is the xpensive kind and she drinks lots of water.

What is the "xpensive" (sic) kind of food? Science Diet is quite expensive and it’s crap, so price doesn’t equate to quality.

I recommend switching to Natural Balance and seeing if that fixes things. With the approval of the vet, a scoop of pumpkin every other feeding may also be beneficial.

However, if her "bowels" are coming out, she’s in serious trouble. Bowels are your intestines. This requires immediate vet attention.
If you mean that her poop comes part way out, and this continues for more than a few days, she needs to see a vet. This can cause serious problems if left untreated.

Unless you have spoken to your vet about the possibility of this being a medical issue than having her spay will not correct it. Having her spayed is a good thing to do but it will not correct this issue. Training will and your full understanding of the issue will also help out alot.
